SPRING is in the air, although it seems we jumped straight into summer. No matter what the season we continue ahead in His strength.
Ephesians 2:10 “For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do”
HELP US HELP THEM
Donate to our ongoing Food Parcel drive: See “Donate to Hope @ Hand” box to the right (or further down if you’re on mobile phone). ALL donations big or small are most welcome and very much appreciated!
Food Parcels
Despite the rising food prices, we have not stopped giving to those in need. Over the last 3 months 247 food parcels were distributed to families in our area. In addition 60 parcels (20 per month) were given to families in Tembisa. Unemployment is very high and many who were once breadwinners are now unemployed.
We were also able to provide 11 large food hampers to new organisations who approached us for assistance. Currently we cannot continue to support them all on an ongoing basis, but trust for this to become possible in the future, with the help of generous sponsors. Please consider donating to Hope@Hand – see bottom of page for donation button.
Mandela Day
Thank you to:
everyone who sponsored a parcel. We raised over R12 000.00 which enabled us to distribute another 80 parcels, which were over and above the regular monthly parcels.
The recipients of these parcels were Eden Angels, Food for thought and Love in action. We distributed these parcels between 3 organisations outside of our regular sphere.

Volunteers
What is a volunteer?
“ A person who freely offers to undertake a task without being paid”
We are grateful to have many volunteers, and are thrilled to have recently welcomed Andre, Ruby, Glen and Feroza to our team. You all have so much to offer and add great value to Hope@Hand.
Message from a volunteer - Cinei
“The wholesome welcome I received into the Hope@Hand group has made my every encounter as a Volunteer a worthy platform for transformation and growth Spiritually. I have been so enthralled with how hygienic and organized the Pantry is run and more so getting a glimpse into the many Initiatives you are running with, from Tembisa to Hillbrow to Local.
This Team is truly dynamic, willing, and committed to going above and beyond Serving the status quo. So responsive and effective!
You are attentively aware, emotionally moved, bring relief and take action humbly – these are all good practices of a highly compassionate workforce. One I am so proud to form a part of now.
A heartfelt thank you. It’s been an absolute JOY thus far!“

Ongoing Projects
Revive – cooking hearty lunches for street people her in Edenvale, showing them Christ’s love and kindness as well as giving them the dignity every soul desires.
LRC church – we are able to supply 50kg of maize towards their food parcels each month.
Manor Community church – We often supply clothing as there are a few ladies in this church who sell clothes as their livelihood. These ladies are uplifted and provide shelter and food for their families from the proceeds of their sales.
Hillbrow – A team from newDAY church go to Hillbrow once a month to hand out sandwiches to those who are homeless. They minister the gospel of Christ and try to impart hope to them. It is hard to comprehend that many of these homeless people have not eaten in days.
We thank you and appreciate all your support. We are deeply aware that we could not do any of this without your faithful support
