Hi everyone,
Hello everyone from a cold and very dry Johannesburg. Trusting you are well and keeping warm. Please have a look at our latest updates, we are so aware that when we are weak but, He is strong. We are grateful for all who support us in any capacity; we could not do this without you!
2 Corinthians 9:8
And God is able to make all grace abound to you, so that having all things at all times, you may abound
in every good work
Hillbrow
A team visit the homeless in Hillbrow once a month to minister to them taking sandwiches and fruit.
The team arrive at 6am getting a clear taste of the cold the people endure at this time of year. Over the past months we have received kind and generous donations enabling us to take extra goods to help them. These included long sleeve t-shirts, beanies and toiletry packs which were all very well received and appreciated.
Safe House
After becoming aware that there is a lady taking care of 10 children and was in need of many items we went to visit and saw there was great need. Her love and care for these children was evident as were the needs to run this home. We have been amazed at the goodness of people stepping up to help. This has enabled us to provide for them a bed, washing machine, fridge, freezer, dishwasher, cutlery,
blankets, children’s clothes, large food hampers and a cupboard. A HUGE shout out to all who stepped up to help us help them, their lives have been changed.
Teddy Bears
No talent or good deed ever goes unnoticed. The teddies were made by a very special lady with much love. They are used in counselling sessions with abused children.
Henley on Klip
It was such a joy to be involved with the outreach for St Andrew’s church in June, interacting with and serving this community.
Jars of Hope
This is our 3rd winter making these bottles to add to our food parcels. People love them. This year we made 120 and were able to help many families and other organisations, each bottle can feed 6 people depending what is added like carrots, spinach, cabbage or just about anything.
Blanket & Beanie Drive
Thank you Newday church and many others for once again supporting this winter project, this is our 4th year running it. To date we have distributed 158 beanies and 42 blankets. What a joy to see others faces light up when receiving.
Food Parcels
We are distributing on average 90 food parcels a month between Tembisa, Boksburg, Edenvale and Wychwood. These parcels mainly consist of non-perishable items, when we can we add eggs, fruit or a cooked meal.
Our senior saints were blessed with yummy home cooked chicken al la king last month.
Some notes from recipients:
The people from Boksburg asked me to send an appreciation. Thank you for your input towards us. GOD BLESS YOU!
Hi, my name is Lesley and I am a pensioner. I have been receiving food parcels and am incredibly grateful, especially as they contain the foodstuff needed to survive. A HUGE thank you to all those involved, you are a blessing to so many.
Please continue to pray with us for Israel now and always!
